A fresh and aromatic lot from local farmer in Phoenix Mountain, who we previously purchased from in the box of 5 Classic Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong Series 1 and 2. In this box of Series 3, in addition to continuing to present the famous and classic types of aroma, we have specially curated five freshly harvested 2022 Dan Cong Oolong Tea which is distinctive in its floral characteristics, each of them is very aromatic with appealing floral notes!

Song Zhong
“Song Zhong” is one of the ten most famous aroma of Phoenix Dan Cong Tea. Its name is based on the legend since Song Dynasty. The Emperor of Song Dynasty once travelled in Phoenix Mountain, he was very tired and thirsty, he drunk some tea grown there, and found it restored his energy immediately, so he named this Tea “Song Zhong”. In reality, there are three mother tree with over 600-700 years old, the tea made from the descendant of the mother tree can be considered as “Song Zhong”. This selected Song Zhong is made from a old bush. It is strong in taste, with well balanced floral, fruity and honey notes.

Ginger Flower Aroma / Jiang Hua Xiang
Jiang Hua Xiang(薑花香), literally means Ginger Flower Aroma. It is also called “Tong Tian Xiang”, which means the high aroma can be smelled in heaven, indicates it is very aromatic. It is one of the ten most famous aroma of Phoenix Dan Cong Tea. It is named because of its unique natural floral notes similar to the ginger flower fragrance. It has a very unique undertone of spiciness and woody notes.

Magnolia Aroma / Yu Lan Xiang
Yu Lan Xiang(玉蘭香), literally means Magnolia Flower Aroma. It is one of the ten most famous aroma of Phoenix Dan Cong Tea. It is named because the fresh tea leaves is yellow-green in colour, local farmer called it as “Jin Yu Lan”, translated as golden Magnolia. It also has an unique natural floral notes similar to the Magnolia. It is a light-roasted Oolong, apparent in layered floral notes associate with orchid and Magnolia fragrance, and well balance with honey notes.

Pomelo Flower Aroma / You Hua Xiang
You Hua Xiang(柚花香), literally means Pomelo Flower Aroma. Pomelo Flower is the flower of the citrus plant similar to citrus or orange flower. It is not made of the plant of Pomelo Flower, It is named because the tea leaves is shaped like the leaves of the Pomelo Flower Plant, and it also has an unique floral notes similar to the Pomelo Flower. It is a very pleasing light-roasted Oolong with natural floral notes and soft mouth-feel.

Osmanthus Aroma / Gui Hua Xiang
Gui Hua Xiang(桂花香), literally means Osmanthus Aroma. It is one of the ten most famous aroma of Phoenix Dan Cong Tea. It is not a scent tea made with osmanthus flowers, it is named because of association with the elegant floral notes similar to osmanthus frangrance.
