Bu Lang Gong Ting Ripe Puerh 2016
Origin and Story:
This batch is using the emperor “gong ting” grade of tea leaves material harvested in Bu Lang Mountain.
Bu Lang Mountain, situated in the southern part of Menghai area in Xi Shuang Ban Na of Yunnan, which is also the border area between China and Myanmar. It is one of the earliest Pu’erh making area within Yunnan, the earliest evidence of Tea-making can be dated back to 4000 years ago. It is also the largest Tea-making region with more than 1000km2, its production amount of Tea can reach 1500-2000 Ton annually. Some famous Puerh-making village situated in Bu Lang area, including Ban Zhang, Lao Man’E, and Man Xin Long, etc.
Bu Lang Tea is considered to be strong and sweet. It tastes strong with high aroma and astringency, but it is also distinctive in its fast “Hui Gan”, you can taste the astringency but it will be quickly replaced by a lingering sweetness. The mouthfeel is especially smooth and thick.
Making Process:
Plucking Tea Buds with 2-3 leaves. After plucking the tea leaves, it undergoes steps of withering, kill-green, rolling, rolling, drying, and steaming and compressing into teacake.
