Anhua Black Tea is originated in Anhua, Hunnan, the same place of the renowned Anhua Dark Tea. Anhua Black Tea as a lesser-known Tea, is actually having long history, its production is recorded since 1858, is one of the most famous exporting Black Tea at that time.
This Tea is from a little Village called Yan Xi (烟溪), villagers have been producing Anhua Black Tea for more than hundreds year, the Tea produced there has won the gold medal in the Panama Pacific International exposition in 1915. This batch of Anhua black tea is tightly twisted in dark color, with some golden pekoe in between. It is very sweet, with apparent notes of floral, honey, and light hints of woody notes.
