Longjing is one of the most famous Green Tea having rich heritage with more than 1200 years of history. It is always on the top position among the 10 most famous Chinese Tea.  Longjing #43 is the varietal developed by Tea Research Institute of CAAS (Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences). This Tea is special in its early germination, higher yield and drought resistance. There are three main production area of Longjing Tea, which are West Lake region (10% of the production), Qian Tang region (30% of the production) and Yue Zhou region (60% of the production).
The clearance batch of Longjing tea sourced from two distinct regions, Fuyang in Hangzhou (belonging to the Qian Tang Area) and Pan An in Zhejiang (belonging to the Yue Zhou Area), presents a compelling alternative to the often overpriced Longjing teas from the “West Lake Region.” While the West Lake Region has long been renowned for its association with premium Longjing tea, the tea from Hangzhou and Zhejiang offers a remarkable high-quality-to-price ratio.
Longjing tea from Fuyang in Hangzhou, situated in the Qian Tang Area, showcases exceptional characteristics. The tea leaves are meticulously cultivated in fertile soil and nurtured by the region’s unique climate. The resulting brew exudes a delicate yet distinct flavor profile, with a harmonious blend of floral notes and a subtle nuttiness. The tea leaves unfurl gracefully in the cup, releasing a mesmerizing aroma that transports you to the lush tea gardens of Fuyang.
Similarly, Longjing tea from Pan An in Zhejiang, within the Yue Zhou Area, boasts its own set of remarkable qualities. Grown in picturesque tea plantations surrounded by rolling hills, this tea embodies the essence of the region’s natural beauty. The leaves are carefully handpicked and skillfully processed to preserve their exquisite flavor and aroma. Sipping on a cup of Pan An Longjing tea reveals a delightful combination of chestnut undertones and a lingering, refreshing aftertaste.
