Limited batch of “Sparrow’s Tongue” Green Tea harvested from Meng Ding Mountain
Que She, literally means “Sparrow’s Tongue”, which is named because of its small shape just like the sparrow’s tongue. It is a kind of flat shaped green tea, unlike other traditional green tea which is made of buds, sparrow’s tongue required slightly exposed buds, so its maturity is slightly higher than other bud tea, aroma is extremely unique, rich and slightly higher than other bud-shaped green tea, mouthfeel is also thicker with stronger Hui Gan.
The plucking standard of Que She is very strict, not all tea tree varieties can be used to make Que She, only small and medium sized leaf varieties is carefully selected. It is made of small and fat tea buds, all buds must be picked by hand , tea leaves need to be tender and in symmetrical shape. This Que She is from the famous tea mountain – Meng Ding Mountain in Ya’An, Sichuan, at an altitude of 1000-2000 meters. The newly harvested Spring Tea is very refreshing with sweet floral and light chestnut notes.
