Mengku, one of the four most famous production area of pu-erh, situated in Lincang, Yunnan. You may have heard of the renowned village like, Bing Dao, Xiao Hu Sai and Nuo Wu, all these famous puerh village is located inside Mengku.
This tea is harvested right next to Bing Dao Village, next to the Mengku river. It is made of the raw material of wild ancient tree with over 100 years old. The wild ancient tree is very tall without trimming or cutting artificially. Tea leaves picker need to climb a ladder to pick leaves. You can find the taste of this maocha full of “forest” atmosphere and taste very similar to puerh from Bing Dao Village. The Tea is now stored for more than 7 years in dry warehouse, it is transformed into a very smooth texture. You can still find some strong “Chaqi” in it coming with a little astringency, but it also come with a quick huigan (lingering sweetness) with apparent honey notes.
