Bai Sha Xi Anhua Bai Lu White Tea Cake, a truly unique creation from the renowned Anhua dark tea brand, Bai Sha Xi. This exceptional white tea cake originates from the mist-shrouded Yun Tai Shan mountain in Anhua, a region celebrated for its production of dark teas. Distinguished by its distinct character, this tea is crafted using the large leaf variety sourced from Yun Tai Shan and harvested during the Bai Lu season in autumn.
The artistry of this tea lies in its sun drying process, following the traditional method of white tea production. Aged for three years, it has undergone a transformative journey, resulting in a tea of exceptional quality. The tea leaves are meticulously compressed into thin square tea cakes in 2022, each pack contains two delicate tea cakes, carefully crafted to preserve the tea’s unique characteristics.
Unlike white teas from Fuding, this Bai Sha Xi Anhua Bai Lu White Tea Cake possesses a robust and distinctive taste that mirrors the essence of dark teas. With each infusion, the tea is strong and is remarkably sweet complemented by woody undertones and the luscious flavors of ripe fruit. The three years of aging have also imparted a subtle aged essence, adding depth and complexity to the overall experience.
As the tea flavor is quite stong, we recommend a water-to-tea ratio of 1:30 and a shorter brewing time of no more than 10 seconds when using a Gongfu Gaiwan. This will ensure a balanced and harmonious infusion, allowing the tea’s flavors to unfold gradually.
