First Flush Huang Shan Mao Feng Green Tea
Huang Shan Mao Feng 黃山毛峰 is one of the 10 most famous Chinese Tea, originated from Huang Shan since Qing Dynasty (1644 – 1912). Its name “Huang Shan” indicated its place of origin – Yellow Mountain (Huang Shan) in Anhui; while Mao Feng is translated as “ Fur Peak”, as the tea is made of fine and downy tea leaves full of white pekoe.
Taste and Aroma of Huang Shan Mao Feng
When talking about green tea, grassiness may be the first word come in mind, but Huang Shan Mao Feng can be considered as an elegant green tea with high profile of sweetness, low astringency and not grassy at all. This year’s batch of Huang Shan Mao Feng is especially small in its shape with fat buds, this first flush batch is harvested from the wild local tea trees in the high mountain area. As the tea leaves from this area contains rich components and minerals, the mouthfeel is very layered, It is refreshing, soft and buttery in its mouthfeel, you can find the orchid floral taste in it with lingering sweetness.
History of Huang Shan Mao Feng
Yellow Mountain is a famous forest-covered tea mountain situated in Fu Xi Xiang of Anhui, located in 30° north latitude. It is high in altitude with over 800m in average, the humid climate, good soil condition, and natural mountain landscape created a favorable natural growing environment for tea to grow. In 1875, Huang Shan Mao Feng is invented by a merchant called Mr. Xie Zheng An. He opened a Tea farm called “Tian Hu Tea Garden” in Cao Xi 漕溪, situated in the southern part of Yellow Mountain, between 600-800m above sea level. It is originally being called “Yun Wu” Tea, which means “Cloud and Mist Tea”, as it is being grown in high mountain, surrounding by cloud and mist.

Brewing Method (Adjust with your own taste):
Gaiwan Style: 3-4g Tea| 150-200ml water (85-90°c) | 1-3 infusion : 10-15’s, After : Add 5’s each
Glass Style: prepare a tall glass, pre-warm the glass by rinsing it, fill your glass with 85-90°c water, add tea leaves (3g), let it rest for 1 minute, enjoy (Don’t drink the whole glass, left 1/3 of Tea liquor in the glass for resteeping, add 30’s each time)

We do our best to meet the estimated delivery date (the estimated delivery date of the product within the product description on our website). This date cannot be guaranteed due to potential delays on harvest date, however we do our best to estimate this date as accurately as possible.
Your order will be sent when all the goods are in stock. If there are ‘in-stock’ items on your order they will be put to one side and shipped at the same time as your pre-ordered item; we do not do partial shipments.
3. Payment:
Payment is taken and processed at the time your order is placed.
If for any reason we cannot fill your order, a full refund will be issued.
4. Cancellations:
We will accept cancellations of pre-ordered items before the order has shipped, however if this becomes a regular occurrence we reserve the right to refuse further orders.
