Silver Needle Fuding White Tea
Silver Needle, also called Bai Hao Yin Zhen (白毫銀針) in Chinese. Fuding Silver Needle, it is made of single buds of Fuding Da Bai Cha. It is the highest grade of Fuding white tea, the tea buds are fat with conspicuous silvery tea hair. The fine and small tea buds taste fresh, subtle and elegant. The white pekoe flavor brings out the taste of umami, it is very smooth, with long-lasting sweet floral finish and aftertaste.
The unique making process of Silver Needle
The most important part of the production process of white tea is withering. The picking standard of silver needle is plucking the tea buds only. It is being withered naturally on sunny days in spring. The white tea withered by the sun has a clear and aromatic fragrance, the tea soup is sweet and the Chaqi/ tea energy is strengthen, forming a unique floral fragrance. During the refining process, it is baked to set off and keep the aroma of the tea.
Storage and medicinal value of white tea – “one-year tea, three-year medicine, and seven-year treasure”
Time is the catalyst for the aging of white tea, the inner quality of the white peony is undergoing beautiful changes through years of storage. Tea is rich in amino acids, tea polyphenols, minerals, multivitamins, zinc, selenium and other trace elements needed by the human body. White tea has the saying of “one-year tea, three-year medicine, and seven-year treasure”. Drinking white peony tea often can reduce fever and dispel heat. It is most suitable for drinking in summer and makes people feel refreshing.
After years of storage, the aroma substance of white tea will be transformed. The change in tasting profile usually become apparent after 3 years of storage. Although aged white tea is being described as “Medicine”, and it is usually associated with the “Medicinal/ Chinese Herbal aroma”, its tasting note is way more diverse and delicious. In fact, aged white tea can be very diverse in its aroma , including the notes of jujube, honey, fruity, dried bamboo leaves, herbs, and it is apparent in its mellowness.

We do our best to meet the estimated delivery date (the estimated delivery date of the product within the product description on our website). This date cannot be guaranteed due to potential delays on harvest date, however we do our best to estimate this date as accurately as possible.
Your order will be sent when all the goods are in stock. If there are ‘in-stock’ items on your order they will be put to one side and shipped at the same time as your pre-ordered item;
we do not do partial shipments.
3. Payment:
Payment is taken and processed at the time your order is placed.
If for any reason we cannot fill your order, a full refund will be issued.
4. Cancellations:
We will accept cancellations of pre-ordered items before the order has shipped, however if this becomes a regular occurrence we reserve the right to refuse further orders.
