Limited batch of “Sparrow’s Tongue” Green Tea harvested from Meng Ding Mountain
Que She, literally means “Sparrow’s Tongue”, which is named because of its small shape like a sparrow’s tongue. It is a kind of flat shaped green tea made with tender tea buds, from the famous tea mountain – Meng Ding Mountain in Ya’An, Sichuan, at an altitude of 1000-2000 meters. This newly harvested Spring Tea is processed by firewood stove in the green-killing step, not only makes the Que She beautiful in appearance, but also taste very refreshing with sweet floral and chestnut notes.
Why the tea buds of Que She looks like a sparrow’s tongue?
Unlike other traditional green tea which is made of buds, Que She is made of slightly exposed buds. When the leaf is slightly greater than the bud, the leaf is like the beak of a bird, and the small bud in the middle is like the tongue of a sparrow.
As it is made of exposed buds, its maturity is slightly higher than other bud-shaped green tea, the aroma is extremely unique and slightly higher than other bud-shaped green tea, its mouthfeel is also thicker with stronger Hui Gan.
