2023 Jingmai First Flush Ancient Tree Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake

Limited Edition First Flush Tea Cake – Gathering Nature’s Year-long substance from the ancient tea garden

This year, we proudly present this newly compressed tea cake, crafted from the first flush spring batch of Pu-erh leaves. These leaves originate from the wild ancient tree, standing tall for around 300 years without any artificial trimming or cutting. The pluckers ascend ladders to gather the leaves, ensuring the utmost care in their collection. The resulting brew exudes a captivating wild forest flavor, with a pronounced and layered aroma carrying delicate floral notes and orchid undertones.

As you indulge in this tea’s light yellow tea liquor, freshness and sweetness envelop your palate. Prominent floral notes dance upon your taste buds, offering a delightful symphony of flavors. The experience is further enhanced by a lingering, gratifying sweet aftertaste that leaves a lasting impression.

This Pu-erh Tea Cake is from the remote depths of Jingmai’s Nuogang Ancient Village. Nestled within the thousand-year-old village, this Dai community holds a rich history spanning millennia. The name “Nuogang” (糯岗) translates to “the place where deer drink water” in the Dai language, reflecting the pristine natural environment that nurtures the tea gardens.

The ancient tea forest of Jingmai Mountain has a long and proud history, the cultivation of ancient tea can be traced back to 180 AD, with a history of more than 1,800 years. The towering ancient trees surrounding the forests occurs at altitudes ranging between 1100 to 1662 meters, most of them grow naturally in the virgin forest. This virgin forest environment provides favorable conditions for the growth of tea trees, the biological species are rich and diverse without pesticide or fertilizer pollution. The branches of tea trees are covered with moss, vines, wild fungi and many other parasitic plants. There is a parasitic plant called “crab foot” (scientific name tea velvet, which has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxification).
