2023 Huang Jin Gui Oolong Tea (黃金桂)
Huang Jin Gui, which means Golden Osmanthus in Chinese, which is one of the most famous oolong tea in Min Nan area (southern part of Fujian). The varietal of Huang Jin Gui is originated from Luoyan Village in Anxi. It is another famous oolong tea, and a “close relative” to Tie Guan Yin. Among the existing oolong tea varieties, it is the earliest germinating oolong tea. The aroma is particularly high, so it is also being called “Tou Tian Xiang”, which means the aroma can be smelled in the heaven. The dry leave of Huang Jin Gui is having a notably tone of yellow colour , it is in yellowish-green colour, and the liquor is in golden yellow colour, its unique flowery aroma is having a special hint of osmanthus notes, thus it is called golden osmanthus.Â
