This beautiful teapot is made of old rock clay. It is made with a special glazing technique called soda glaze. In the soda firing process, soda ash/sodium carbonate is sprayed into kiln at maturing temperature, and sodium vapor combines with silica in clay to form sodium-silicate glaze. Each teapot is unique with own crackle pattern and colour.
