Jingmai Ancient Raw Pu’erh Loose Tea 2020
This Pu-erh loose leaf tea is from the remote depths of Jingmai’s Nuogang Ancient Village. Nestled within the thousand-year-old village, this Dai community holds a rich history spanning millennia. The name “Nuogang” (糯岗) translates to “the place where deer drink water” in the Dai language, reflecting the pristine natural environment that nurtures the tea gardens.
These leaves originate from the wild ancient tree, standing tall for around 300 years without any artificial trimming or cutting. The pluckers ascend ladders to gather the leaves, ensuring the utmost care in their collection. The resulting brew exudes a captivating wild forest flavor, with a pronounced and layered aroma carrying delicate floral notes and orchid undertones. After years of transformation, the astringency is gone, it become smooth and sweet, apparent notes of honey notes can be found, you can still find a hint of floral fragrance, and finished with the sweetness of the slightly aged puerh. As the components of the tea material is good, this batch of pu-erh has room for transformation in later years.
