We quit our full-time jobs in the corporate world and dedicate ourselves into the Tea world. Create something we were passionate about. And to share something we have knowledge about. We’re on a mission to empower every tea drinkers to truly experience every tea.

TEA in TOWN is a place for all tea drinkers to explore, learn and taste different tea.

We believe every cup of tea is practically a unique experience for us. Every tea has its own story, history, culture, taste, aroma, mouth-feel that make each one special, which keep us eager to learn and experience different tea in the world. We started “Tea in Town” out of an urge to promote the culture of drinking tea and tea-tasting. We firmly believe that tea is not only a commodity. There is no satisfaction in making tea products just to make money. Come explore different tea with us. Taste it and “Trust Your Tongue”!

We have been asked by this questions quite often. Actually we travel a lot around different places throughout the year, mainly visiting different tea farms and tea businesses for sourcing and tea learning. We believe that tea learning is a life- long business, tea around the world is interesting, so we will not stop in only one place. We now mainly based in Shanghai, China, and our products are also shipped from Shanghai.

We source our tea directly from our trustworthy partners. Apart from the tea products with branding, all tea is directly sourced from tea farmers, and we will site -visit those tea farms occasionally throughout the year to check up on the tea growing environment and processing procedures. As a certificated tea sommelier, we checked and tasted every tea carefully before selling it. We basically source our tea based on four rules:

• Fair-trade: We support tea farmers and workers by ensuring they receive fair prices for their products, promoting sustainability and improved livelihoods.

• Chemical-free: we aim to source tea that is free from artificial chemicals, pesticides, ensuring a pure and natural experience.

• Distinctive flavors: We prioritize teas that showcase unique regional or varietal characteristics, offering a diverse range of flavors to enhance your tea enjoyment.

• Value for money: We strive to provide high-quality tea at a reasonable price, ensuring you receive excellent value without compromising on taste or ethics.

Some certainly are. But Tea in town goes a step further: every tea we are selling are from tea farmers or brands that are committed to ethical relations throughout the tea supply chain, and we spend way too much time researching the impact of your purchases on the farmers we are so proud to promote. By buying tea through tea in town, you are part of the solution to ensure tea growers are able to flourish. And are your tea having organic certificates, some of them do have SGS certificates, but for most of the tea farmers actually cannot afford the cost of sending their tea for organic tea testing, we do not want to add the cost to customers by charging an extremely high price for having the name of “Organic”, like most of the organic tea brands are doing in the market. We just want to ensure no extra cost is added to both of our small tea farm suppliers and customers.

Yes. But some specific countries or cities may required extra shipping fee and we need to check with our delivery partners. Please contact us if you have any questions about international shipping.

Except some specific countries/cities (not supported by E-Packet), Standard shipping fee USD 9.9 is charged. And now, we offer free shipping for all orders over USD 99.9 , except some countries/cities. Please contact us if you have any issue.

For Custom duty, Eu countries or some other countries of destinations may require VAT, import tax, duties or related Custom fees for the import, and the cost is not covered in the order payment. If the items are being stopped at customs, resulting in any delay or charges, we are not responsible for any custom duties charged, buyer (as the importer of our items) are responsible for any duties fee charged if applicable. If buyer refuse to pay for the custom duty and return the items to us, all order payment is non-refundable. For further details of Import Taxes & Duties, please contact your local Customs office directly.

We source our teawares directly from our suppliers, mainly in Jingdezhen, Yunnan and YiXing in China. We do have stocks for some of the teawares, but for most of the teawares, we do not keep our stock in our warehouse in order to save the warehouse cost, so that the relevant cost will not be added to customers. We will order directly from supplier once you made order on teawares, and we will check all of it for the quality before shipping to customers. For this process, it will take extra few days before shipping to you, but most importantly, we would like to keep the lowest cost and quality for you.
